OK, chaps, we've had a couple of fun votes on this, now it's time to get serious........

We need to show the community we mean business, and a quick look at the figures, show us in third place for daily production. Oh, yes, we do indeed mean business :D

I checked out the website for The_Genome_Collective here:

It would seem most if not all the members are now members of this team - (needs to be confirmed). If this is the case, then that name is up for grabs. Phil created this account, so he can rename it.

The_Collective is also a non oporational team, and that means that is also up for grabs. Medic193 created this one, so he can rename that too.

It would seem, we have our options.

Feel free to discuss the options before voting, but I think it's time to get this show on the road :D

I like the original The_Genome_Collective or just plain The_Collective. Has a nice ring to it and it represents what we are as a whole.

BTW, is everyone happy with the catagories? If there is a name you feel has been left out, please let me know before the voting get's going......

Really though, I think I'm going to stay out of this poll. The name doesn't matter to me. I'm just happy to be a part of this wonderful group.

I had to vote for "The Genome Collective". I liked the name from it's inception, I think we should stick with it.

The name says what were are........a collective of the best crunchers in Genome.

When I read that "Alphabet Soup" post on Picards board last night I had a good side splitting laugh, almost got a stich :D


I'm glad there sense of humour is restored.










Maybe there onto something, Team Alphabeti Spagetti :D

I really don't care guys, leave up to everyone else.

PS Anyone else going to start chruncin under a new name like X-Callibur ? If so, we need to get a team name sorted ASAP. (thats if your new crunchin name is to include the team name that is....)

Voted for "The_Genome_Collective".

Was going to suggest "The Blessed Critix Sky Rocket" as a fun alternative for the ACHOPCCSDL Alphabet Soup ( :) indeed) Battlebus - but won't. Doesn't mean we can't have fun name-calling right?

I voted for insertnewteamnamehere.
I think that name says that people can say that they are on whatever team they want and still be a part of this team.

I'm thinking of closing the vote and calling it a day. Looks like we are gonna see a winner - The_Genome_Collective seems to be the most popular, at least it isn't unpopular even with those who didn't vote for it.

Last chance to raise your objections....

We need to finalise the name, before we can move things on. It looks like a move to a new "unlimited bandwidth server is on the cards. I don't think anyone foresaw the phenominal ussage this board is getting and we are nearing our banwidth limit, after only a few days. This is an opportunity for Phil to re-design the BB to reflect our new permanent name. Also, Hemi needs to know what to go with for the website. We have banners and graphics to design (can anyone say competition time?).

So, we need to wrap this up pretty quick now.

Unless I hear objections to the contrary, I'll close the vote at midnight GMT (7hrs away) and announce the new name as

The_Genome_Collective
