Battlebus type account - A new joint venture... WTF, again....!!!!

In my first post on that forum I stated that I would restart crunching from 0 to show my respect to the guys and gals of other teams that renounced their individual ranks in the former teams, then fight my way back up the ranks...

I'm nonetting since then because I'm juggling with the idea of a Battlebus type of thing for the underdogs (top crunchers are invited as well)...

Who thinks this could be a fun trip, let's see if we can catch Pelligrini?

Just post a nice and forceful I DO if you would like to join, As for the name I was thinking of Unimatrix_Zero or something along those lines.

It could also serve as our Sneek account for members of other teams who wish to donate genes to the team in a mutiny's spirit.

So who's in?, everyone is invited... we could have a CubeFridge of our own.

I for one can't care less of individual stats, as long as it goes to Stanford and the team.

Post name ideas too, we'll have a poll on that later (any excuse is good to use the BB functions right?)

Pick a user name. (Something like tgctank. ) Get a group to run under that name. All still under The Genome Collective team name.

Not sure what you mean.....is this a superuser type thing for ex acho members to post to for a few months so sdl & pccx members can catch up? if so what a great idea.
Renaming ourselves individually would make it somewhat crowded on the stanford pages and a bugger to understand. I havent used stanfords team page since matrix got on the job.

Just a way to pool together resources and make a stab at the top user group. They would all be under one account. Kind of a Sniper_Virus thing just more folks.

NO WAY I'M STARTING A NEW TEAM... no split, we just got together... LOL

It's a superuser, alright, we just pull in alll the production in one account to play with the big boys.

It's not for ex-ACHO, it'S for everyone on that team that wishes to pool in, you can choose to set only one machine, or crunch for awhile then go back to your private account...

I don't care about my individual stats, I care about the project AND about you guys and gals in the TEAM.

Just a way to get on something fun within the team when you have limited firepower and can sometime get depressed... or buy a new puter and risk your wife leaving with the car and banking accounts (don't laught, it happens....).

When you get bored, you just start crunchin for your own old account.. and come back...

But PLEASE no smackin' , browsing throught the uproar old post already made me sick enought....

And while I'm posting, I'll save the bandwidth of a second post and offer a though on a different subject. I think all the emphasis on seeing who can make the biggest dump is silly. Sure, we cached while working on the merger, so upload what you held back, but let's not hold back uploads just so we can distort the stats. All that does is test Stanford's bandwidth limits. Upload at regular intervals -- making a (relatively) smooth production rate, whether under our own name or under a battlebus type account.

Picard did one and it sort of fizzled out. That's no reason not to, just that they did it for something to do really. We've got a ton going on round here at the mo. I'm thinking save it for when things get a little slack (if they ever do) :D

Ranks could be based on honor. i.e. everyone reports in the number of genes he sent back... dunno if this would work thought, and who's to keep the stats... messy work, any volonteers?
