:) :) :) :) :)
Wow! I have a warm fuzzy going... Haven't felt this good since... the last time I felt this good!
A little cpu mishap, and that got me off track... Back again, happily crunching. I need to hang out here where all the personality is. (maybe too much? you know who you are! j/k)
<taps on side of wine glass> Now that I have your attention, you may have noticed that there are 2 Billy_Bat accounts. Is it possible to get my new genes back to my old one? When I went to the G@H homepage, it wouldn't accept my old account/email, said it was already in use. No biggee, as long as my numbers are going for the good of TGC, its all good.
Anyway, it is really great to be back!!

Good Luck!
BB

<sheepish grin>
Nofinger, you posted while I was composing my previous reply. That is great, like I said, it doesn't really matter. <races to reconfig account>
Thanks a bunch!!

Where you trying to register again? because you dont need to do that :D You're already a "member"

Go to the genome dir open ghclient.cfg file and change user name to Billy Bat.
As i know it Thats All :D if not someone will correct me :( :D

Good luck

I know this thread is about our "new member", but since you MIGHT be talking about me, I'll interject an alternate reading of the postings :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :D :D

No matter how you spell it, we are all supported by our underscore.

you cant have a "space" without an underscore nofinger. You dont have to worry about that, because you have no spaces. But like Sniper_Virus. If you look at statsman it is Sniper Virus, the space is caused by "ME" the underscore.

If you look at Dyyryath you can see the underscore.:hugz:

Here is what the .cfg file says: [settings]
email=Billy_Bat
account=2136075668
server=vsp18.stanford.edu
port=10100

[firewall]
active=no
host=hostname
port=1080
userpass=user:password

(note the mega_important underscore)

I have 2 machines crunching along, but still the capitalized account refuses to grow.:sad: It isn't the end of the world, just dancing on the precipice.

Good Luck!
BB

Ya know BB I had this problem too. I think mine was because I changed the .cfg file while the client was running. So may I suggest that you close the client, check the .cfg file again then start the client again.

Please do this quickly for we dont want to lose too many cycles :D

Actually, the safest way is to run the reconfig option. With everything I know about text files, you'd think I'd never mess up the invisible stuff (CR/LF), but I did on one and g@h didn't like it at all.

. . . but you do have to shut down.
