Has any body got any info of what's the best cpus to run G@H on?

And whats the breakeven point for the low end?

Is the G@H software very maths intensive ie lots of interger maths or Floating point?

Is any body running dual CPU'S?
:)

Not sure about low end machines, but at the high end.

P4s are not very good because of their low FPU performance. Anything AMD is very good with PIII being almost clock-for-clock at lower speeds (below 1Ghz) but lossing out when the speeds get about 1Ghhz.

The best CPU for Genome has got to be the T-Bird line of cpu's (including XP and MP's). A 1Ghz T-Bird is very cheap and can be overclocked easily to 1400MHz+. At this speed, you will need approx 2xPIII's @ 1GHz to match it's output. I am running 6 of the T-Bird series including dual XP1800's and dual 1.2Ghz MP's. I am adding another dual AMD system very shortly :)
