I was being absolutely sincere in my response Ridicully. It would be great if you guys could come to an agreement. Our merger has brought numerous people back to the project. People who were no longer crunching are now putting up some staggering numbers and the new community that was created by all of this was tremendous. People who weren't involved in posting are now outspoken and having a blast. If you 2 or 3 teams could accomplish what we have, we would all benefit as well as the project itself. Of course you would kick our butts in the stats race, but that's not the most important thing at stake.
I read Dewill's post a few days back and it really struck home what this is about for most of us. Sure the stats are important, but the imotional reasonings behind why we do this is far more important to each one of us as individuals.
Battlebus: I don't think you realize what you guys actually did with this project. As an onlooker, most of us saw a fun and exciting way to get people involved who were getting a little bored. It gave the people who weren't able to post big numbers a real chance to participate and also be apart of a top producing account. Again, I don't thin you realize what an impact it had on alot of people. Envy comes to mind.
Team Picard is a wonderful team. I wasn't able to get that across with all the heated discussion that took place on all of our boards. We wouldn't have asked you to be apart of what was created otherwise. I/we approached Team Picard poorly, asking you to make a decision pratically overnight. I/we are very sorry for this an hope that this doesn't tarnish our relationships. Crabbleboys, I'm sorry if I personally offended you in any way. It truly wasn't my intention. Please take the time to come over to our message board so that we can make peace and trade some ideas that would make interteam competition more fun, just like Battlebus did.
