Right, my HD is here and RH7.1 will be installed tomorrow. 7.1 installed great on my TBird with 64Mb GTS2, but is there any known issues with the Radeon 64Mb VIVO that anybod knows about? I run at 1600x1200@85Hz, and this worked perfectly for the TBird. I hope that I have no probs with the radeon.

Not that I know of.... comp.os.linux.x is the NG to keep an eye on. I do know this, you require XFree84 4.0.2 to use the other Radeon cards. RH7.1 ships with 4.0.3 so you should be Ok. They are nice cards, have not seen that one in action though. I got the Matrox G450, not so flash on 3D, but I only use 2D anyway.
4.1.0 is out now, and will be the one to use. I have not found RPM's for 4.1.0 yet, and if you have ever tried to build XFree86 from the source code..... It easier to get a politition to tell the truth and keep election promises...:D

Just installed RH7.1 and the Radeon is supported and I was able to select Radeon 64Mb VIVO from the list. My 19" CTX monitor is also supported and I am running nicely at 1600x1200@85Hz

Which Linux for a newbee that types quickly though?
