Since I'm too lazy to copy & paste the whole message, here's my post over at OCF:

I now have another UPS to add to my battery backup power. Too bad my cluster of UPSs can't crunch G@H... lol...

You know, since I have moved here to Dallas I haven't noticed and power outages at all, even during really bad storms... but better safe then sorry.

does anyone have a ups backup? how much heat do they produce? I'm thinking about buying one(not that one!) but my rooms hot as hell and its 74 degrees in the rest of the house!

Na... they really don't produce much heat at all.... Most don't even have a fan, they just use passive cooling. When I put my hand on top of my 700VA it is just slightly warm to the touch.

Okay quick run around the house. Slightly close off vents in the other rooms and make sure the comp room is wide open. You just have to set priorities.:D Luckily at my house the duct going to the comp. room is the shortest ac duct run.
