Ok guys, we're just comming to the end of our first full week as The Genome Collective - well done peeps :D
It's been an awesome week, pretty amazing for all of us as well as the project. So how have we done?
I'm not gonna list tons of groups, just those we are immediately concerned with...
2. Genome Research Group Italy = 33,774
4. Overclockers-Network = 33,788
5. Picard = 31,868
6. The Genome Collective = 36,997
So, we are the third highest producer again, directly behing ARS and [H]ardOCP. One thing that stands out, is how close the following four groups are in terms of production. All the teams have ramped up this week. It's my guess because a new kid on the block landed with something of a splash. We shook the community a bit with our stats spike, though grossly unrealistic, it did draw attention to ourselves and teams picked up production as a result. Good fore the project, but not so good for us.
Picard improved their weekly production noticably and at one point, were ahead of us. It looked for a moment, like they would out produce team #2136075668 (us), for the first time in several weeks. I think the return of Data and a sizeable dump from him, played no small part in this.
However, the merger has not gone absolutely smoothly, there are a number of active crunchers who have submitted well below their usual output, probably because they were -nonetting their clients while in limbo and are now systematically uploading. I also think there are a number of crunchers who don't usually -nonet, but did so, while discussions were underway. They may still have WU's to upload. I think it will be a few weeks before we can acurately guage the output of this team, but it certainly IS impressive. So long as we can maintain the third highest production rates, then sooner or later we WILL take third position - simple maths. But as it stands, it's gonna take longer than we thought to climb the ranks, especially if the other teams can maintain this weeks output.
I think we can safely say though, that no matter what, this team absolutely ROCKS :D :D
