Thanks to you all! :D
I'll do a hardcopy for Anita ....
:gift:
The 400 MB upload really burdened my A-DSL uplink (Dual-ISDN 128K).
Well .. I'm finally done and heading to the Cebit/Hannover right now, my ICE departing at Bonn central at 0751.
If I'll find some nice+cheap gen@ming hardware, I will get it for our team! :)
Regards,
Andy

Has anyone else taken a look at Cherubim's Anita dump in the statsman top 1000 user list? Its amazing to behold. He is still on the top 9 list. When you look at the production graph of the top 9 users, his dump towers above all. Spectacular.

what machines are they using to produce such a high WU load.
I have three and manage 20 odd wu's a day. I am green with envy. I will have to buy a cray.

That's the -nonet option in action. The genome collective seems to have become famous for it .... :D You can run the client offline(no upload after the 30 sequences are done). The client will store the completed work and start again with a variation on the same gene. You run the client this way for as long as you can stand it, then dump all of your completed genes in one upload. I believe there's a section in the FAQ about it. Of course, you can always ask the group! :)

Additional info:
my 10444-dump was the result of ~ 6 month (!) 'nonetting' with my AMD TB1.4 :D

Well, it's similar to ... er ... other important parts of life: the longer you wait, the better it gets! :D
