OT My 9 year old and her neighbor friend informed us the other day that they are going to move to Australia when they get older. She is constantly asking me what she can do to earn some money. If any of you are interested, she would think it is really neat to hear about your great land from someone who lives there. Let me know and I'll private message her email address to you. ;)

Thanks wylie. Shubles said she would drop her a note. Funny how we take what we have for granted sometimes not realizing that it is facinating to others. It would be neat if we could set up some email pals amoung our kids. :)

there where you also have your homepage(if you have one).
Then you can place a url adres to that place in you post.

I don't know why but when I was just a lad I picked the 49'er as my team and have been with them ever since. There is a picture of me floating around in the family with my little 49'er uniform on when I was about 6. I don't dislike the PA teams but my favorite local would probably be the Ravens. Don't get me started on football, I can't wait for the season to start :D :D

Sounds like me. I'm a football fanatic. I'm thinking a football thread will be bad. My post count would start to equal siggy and dnar combined.:D When I was young I was a big Jaworski fan, and hence I became a big Philly fan. One thing for sure is, both your states teams are getting some nice stadiums built for them. We'll have to see if we have any other football fans around. I'm talking NFL not this Canadian and NFL Europe crap. Ha ha J/k:D :D :D :D :D

I'm from Jersey - and I like the Steelers. Not that I dislike the Eagles (because I do), but I grew up liking Pittburgh; even when they were 6-10 in the 80's. :)

One of the team members, Speedbak, is an excessively avid sports fan. I think watching ESPN and playing B-Ball is what keeps him out of the boards... :p

I was eyeballing that one, it looks really good, it was in a brochure that we got from the hospital. I can't believe all the crap that you get from people in the hospital, it's like the vultures (some people call them sales people) hang out in the labour and delivery ward. They're worse than the abulance chasing lawyers.:D There is some good stuff but there is a ton of stuff I'd rather have not gotten. Argh enough rant for one night.

Yeah, quite a few are doing this now - geocities for one. I think it's because of bandwidth, or rather ppl using them to remote link their images, thereby saving bandwidth on their own servers. You could host a website, with all the images, logo's background etc, remote linked to somewhere else, just hosting the text and page formatting on your own site. This would save a ton of bandwidth on a graphic intensive website.

Going to try to setup a family pict. cd later. Just borrowed a scanner today but getting a freebie tomarrow. Actually I have it. But when it was dropped off they forgot the power cord. So kind of useless right now. (Did I mention I like free!!) Its a HP scanjet 5200c.

They do it because remote loading causes you to skip the commercial advertisement - their (alleged) bread-and-butter.

We are factory testing a system upgrade for the Perth to Kalgoorlie pipeline. 600km of pipe, 7 Unix systems and hundreds of small field computers. I write the Unix solftware, the other guys program, configure and install the field equipment.

Re the chair, Yeah, we dont use comfy chairs in our offices, people *may* get to comfortable and sleep rather than work. My home office has a "rocking" chair, I'll take a pic when I get hold of the *share* camera next.....
