I don't understand this graph (http://www.tuxtime.dk/index.php?page=computer&id=2463). Could someone explain to me how it works, please?

It is showing that you are on your first boot, on sequential reboots it starts a new line next to that one.

It takes a 101 day uptime to crack the top 100 at Tuxtime. Whew!

Hmmm... there are no windows machines in the top 100.

From the Tuxtime web site.
Scriptkiddies. 2002-03-17 23:45:36

To all those scriptkiddies out there.

Just because we released the source, it doesn't mean that you have to make your way to the top10 using an uptime of 31337 days. Be fair to yourself and to others. You know that you would be removed from our list anyway. Noone believes in an uptime that high, anyhow.

Go home. By: Tuxi

A 181 day uptime would put around 35th on the Tuxtime top 100 list. Pretty thin air at those stratospheric heights. :) Go for it Ohms!

I'm going to make a run at the top 100 with my dedicated cruncher(s). The only thing that really ever stops them is reboots for OS patches and overheating (overclocked). So, no upgrades and make sure it stays  in here. We can't let the Linux/BSD guys own the entire list. :o

Yeah, nothing you can do about that, unless you have expensive UPS' that can power many machines/last a long time. And then if it's a long outage, you'd need a fancy generator that could come on automagically when you're not at home. :(

I bet a lot of those top 100 machines are in professional facilities.

Well I seem to have found the answer to this one..... no wonder there are no windows machine...

I have my machine here that is at 101 days... look what it shows ? 1 day !!!! It the windows client that seem to "reset" the counter past 100 days !!!! dammit !!! it's a Linux conspiracy !!!!!

LOL, I have e-mailed the head developper, and took the liberty of a small pimp....

Greetings!

I am mostly sorry to disturb you, we at TheGenomeCollective.com have grown fond of TuxTime since we have a little competition of our own with uptimes. One of my windoze machine has reached the unholy uptime of 101 days... who would think this was possible with a MS product? LOL

Okay, here's the thing; there seems to be a bug in the Windows Client where any uptime above 99 days shows like there was a reset, so 101 days appears like 1 day... no wonder there are no Windows user in the Top 100... :D

Do you think we can get a fix on that? I really need to immortalize this uptime... no one will ever beleive me... :P

Anyway, thanks for your attention and kind patience. Kudos to your awesome work, keep doing it.

What OS are you ruinning it on X? There is a new client for NT/2K/XP that fixes this problem of a 49 day wrap-around....I don't think they were expecting Windows to reach 49+ days :D

X-Calibur

Win 2k

and I only see one client for windoze on the DL page...
