OK, guy's bit of fun going on over in the new RIP the collective forum. dnar and I have already started some mud slinging, but we need to get a story sorted - hehe, I hope he's got a sense of humour ;)

dnar mate, you're the mod in there, so you'll need to watch out for stray "wtf" posts and delete em quick.

Just one thing though, best not go too far :)

Ok, but I think we'll need another mod or two, I will be sleeping in 6-7 hours and won't be back for 12 hours after that. Phil, how about some "new" members (aka phil & tril) as aditional mod's???

Right, so WTF happened? I suggest we tried to merge with Picard, OCN or MatroxUsers.... and the team was split big time - especially the crew from SDL as they had just gone through one merger and were not keen to start stats AGAIN.

Also, Stanford re-adjusted the credit system, this time it was really bad. :snicker snicker:

Help me out guys, we need a plan!

Hang on m8tee - I've come in for enopugh flak over the past week or two, lets try and keep some humour in it too - what about shubles as the villain, and a proposed "en-masse" move for all TGC members to [H]?

Good idea, when he gets back, we should agree to stop posting in the threads and lock them all down. Then you can post a new thread, with nothing but a URL to a webpage, on that page, we can tell him to log out of the BB and just surf it anonymously (that's a point, lets hope he uses cookies, or he'll see the whole shooting match before he logs in). Anyway, should take 5 mins to knock something up and FTP it somewhere - anyone want the job?

I just did an emergency icq to shubles telling her this was a joke coz she would have had as many kittens as I did.

Just to remind folks not to go too far! It's great fun having a slanging match, but it's easy to get carried away. There are some subjects that are taboo, even for such a "joke thread". If you are going to have a slanging match with someone, agree the limits in here beforehand, rather than just taking a vicious pop at someone and expecting them to take it in good humour. That said, if you post in this forum, you'll be considered fair game, so broad shoulders are the order of the day :)

Given it's nature, we're gonna moderate this "joke" forum with swathing arrogance, don't complain if you get moderated :)

If it goes too far, Phil will delete the forum, joke over. However, if ya think about your posts and make em funny, clever, sarcastic etc, it can be fun - but it's not a licence to abuse, just be careful is all.

If you think you've gone too far in a post, edit it out.

I think it was stall who said that mods should rarely interfere, and I agree. We had too many mods initially, and I asked Phil to remove me as moderator from all the forums except the OC forum. This did make us less "mod heavy", but ya know, it's kinda hard to give it up ;)

This thread has given me the opportunity to go nuts - who wouldn't enjoy it :)

Like I said before the first thing that I saw this morning were all of the posts in the RIP and I didn't have a clue so you got me. It wasn't until after that I read it was a joke when I was trying to find out what exactly happened. As a mod for the other areas I think that I won't be getting into this cruel and unusual punishment.;) That said have fun with it but try not to offend anyone too badly. Tril and dnar it's all yours. I'm not going to be blamed for giving X a heart attack.:)

What a blast too.

To make the joke work, I've had to *heavily* prune the forum. It started to look just too real, and I got the feeling a couple of folks weren't too happy. I guess we just got carried away with letting off steam. God knows we deserve it after the events of the last 3 weeks, so...

Anyway, I've left just a couple of threads, that are the more funny and a single post pointing to the "reveal"
