Just built a XP1800 for a friend and he asked for GAH to be put on it. As for my mini-farm, Chris, it will be staying with DF for a while. Got to keep the [H]orde back, y'see. (Are you getting worried, now?)

Now running:

Intel P3-933 (work desktop at old project, will run for as long as no-one else logs in on it which is unlikely for a while)
Intel P3-667 (work desktop at old project, will run for as long as no-one else logs in on it which is unlikely for a while)
Intel P3-866 (work desktop at new project)
AMD XP1500 at 10x150
AMD XP1800 at 11.5x138 :(

I have just started a new project where I own a significant number of desktop PCs. Should be able to sneak DF on at least some of them. So hopefully my production should rise in the long run.

Now that we have 3rd in GAH, will any people be coming back to DF?

I am keeping a couple of my machines on G@H, but my main rig, sub-rig, and wife's office rig are back on DF.

Hi Mike,

Now that I have finally made 100k in genome I am switching 3 of my 5 boxen back to DF. I can't just let LBaker waltz by me :D

When I last ran DF, the client wouldn't send in results or even contact the server on my Linux boxes even though I have them connected to my LAN in exactly the same way as my Windows machines. I have full internet access from the Linux boxes, yet the client wouldn't contact home. It was a royal PITA to manually ftp into my Linux boxes and transfer the work to my windows machines for upload. I will retry the DF client on my Linux boxes to see if this has been fixed and if it has, I will switch my farm back to DF when I hit 150K in Genome (about 4 days time).

Nice one Phil! :baa:

If it doesn't work as it should, just shout on the Free-DC support forums. I've been very impressed with how quickly people respond to problems on there, although it might be Jodie who answers!

I'm back at it for a while. :)

BTW, what happened to Virus?

Virus appears to have changed his name and vanished. FlyByKnight is now FBK and is hanging with the Pirates.

Virus is back in the fold, TGC is up to #14, Phil is back crunching although clearly not at full power, Chris is clearly running off-line as a defensive tactic :D. Chris, I'm coming for you!

Chris, where's the dump? You are falling rapdily behind as I gain on YoMama, LB and Goldie. Phil has restarted the farm but I have a pretty good lead on him now.

Farm is now over 8GHz 24/7.

I'm coming to get you Mike :) I am only firing on 3 cylinders at the moment as I have another IBM HD about to die completely (that makes 4 in total in a 6 month period). When my new Special Edition WD arrives I should be back up and running at 100%. Currently running 8.5Ghz full time and I have 3.066Ghz working as and when the HD isn't playing up
