luckily I live 8 miles away from where Winston Churchill lived. Drawing on his inpiration I decided to ask the good peeps at Team Picard whether they would like to :-

1) donate their results to this new gauntlet for fun ( metaphorically speaking!)
2) Beat Canada into a friendly French speaking pulp ( remember General Wolf ! )

If nothing else it will lead to more cross forum participation, and that in itself will be a good thing.

I went after my reply and understood that a part of the message was not quoted and I wrongly attributed it to you.... even thought I was not offenced at all mate.... I actually have great fun reading that stuff about Canadians.... I kinda of like it when I see the pseudo-impression of Canada in other civilized country...... LOL.... even this guys original psot was a little punt with a big wink... I love it....

Just made my 16 gene dump for the cause! Might have 2 more to add to the mix later in the afternoon, since both boxen upstairs were almost finished with the genes they were working on.

Numbers are looking really good. 4 updates in a row with well over 1000 in each one, the latest update almost had us with a 2K upload.

Things are looking good on the battlefront so far!

I don't think we are being baited. We know picard's normal output.

How much can they say? Everyone was counting on data, and so far we have beat them on every update today.

We've got the highest output per member of any team in the top ten but we simply don't have enough members to stop you. The numbers are 93 v 33 active members - no point in trying!

Enjoy your victory, 5th place will be yours by monday at the latest and you shouldn't have any resistance until you get to 3rd - then you do have a problem. :D

You're right, our weight of numbers means it's a done deal, but thanks for being sporting.

On the numbers issue, you know that no team with a large member base will ever beat that statistic. Imagine if Dyyryath was a team on his own, he'd certainly be in the top ten and would definitely have the best output/membership ratio ever :D

The fact you have so many high output crunchers in one team, and have managed to keep us back for so long is a credit to you.
