Start a client on your Internet machine, let it complete sequence 1 then stop it. Zip the directory up and put it on a CD-ROM. Restore the client on your work machine. Start the client -nonet....

Reverse the procedure to get it back on your Internet machine.

so obviously just make as many directories of the whole install as needed to keep it alive. I use 10 for seti and do the same sort of thing

With 0.98 you don't need to wait until it's completed a sequence. Believe me, I do this a lot.

Just tried it.... Your right! Thanks for the tip!
But... only if you run -nonet... I ran the client just past the filtering stage, can you abort the client during filtering for this to also work Mike?

I'm not Mike, dnar, but the answer is the same: yes you can. Doing it all the time.

I have one client running on the connected machine 24/7 and use another client, installed in a different dir on that box, to upload/download work for the other two boxes that are nonetted.

Me 2, just always though you had to wait for seq 1 to complete..... Unless of course your loading and feeding input.inp.2

If you start the client in (no modifier/normal) mode, it still discards the wu and gets another one. If you start -nonet it works on whatever it has downloaded.

The bug (feature?) is still there but only if you don't -nonet.
