Okay, got the cable modem, removed usb connection, set up netgear card hooked up cable. Works great cruising down the internet fast. Add in netgear prosafe vpn firewall and go thru setup. Try out and hit the web. It still works, just very slow. All the documentation I see just addresses no connect. Not anything about slow connects. Swapped around some of the cables I had just to see if a problem there but no help. Any other ideas?

Ditch the netgear firewall and use zone alarm. Better yet, get yourself a router. :D

Not an option right now to ditch the prosafe. Strange update, I've got to look hard at the first computer set up. The other two I've hooked in seem to work right. :( :banghead: :banghead:

Hey there Stilly!
check this guy (http://www.ozcableguy.com/downloads.html)'s download page out for the speed patch and other awesome cable apps. Plenty of links for other sites if that patch doesnt work.

One of the mysteries of life. (In other words not sure what I goofed up.) :o I had already re-installed everything, but I tried it one more time and voila!
Now just some more rules in it and the last 3 computers to swap. But its bed time now........
