Need For Speed - Hot Pursuit 2

If you like driving exotic sports cars and getting chased by the cops, this is the game for you! It's a WOOT! There are the usual NFS race types and, of course, the "be the cop" mode where you get to chase down pesky speeders. Not so easy when you up the difficulty rating! A good mix of tracks with flat-out and technical sections mixed together. The only downside to the game is that if you want to experience all the eye candy you need a near top notch gaming system. I'm running it on an XP @ 1.6ghz with a GF4 4200 64mb. At 1024x768x32 with car detail maxed and terrain detail midway, this setup is barely adequate. Course.... i needed an excuse to upgrade anyway! The corvette sounds great. They need to work on the engine and exhaust sounds a bit thou... still not as realistic as i would like. Physics are pretty good but still have that arcade quality. My top speed? 202mph in a Mercedes CLK. Yee haw!! During a good 8 hrs of testing it only locked up once under win2k pro. Overall i give it 8.7 out of 10.

I agree totally. It's awesome. My only complaint is the exhaust sound also. A Ferrari needs to make my subwoofer sing, not my tweeters. Tell you what, the game is much more challenging in the beginning when you're trying to outrun the cops in a Lotus Elise. At least in the Z8 or 360 Modena you can get a little distance on them with clean driving.
