No, but I think the point is please: if you don't need to run nonet, don't -- just let it upload when it's finished -- until we have a little more pad.

and what bruce said, nonetting right now would be very bad.

Plus me 1ghz gets "unstable" after about 2 days. I think its windows......... its always windows's fault

3 of my 4 are always on, and that 1 is on 90% of the time

i try to leave it on 24/7, but sometimes it just must go down for an hour or so to cool down

Heck of an overtaking rate as you ramped up production!

(oh, and for those people at home who are curious what the curves look like for your next target... OCN vs. TGC vs Picard (http://genome.lusers.net/util.php?gtype=0&id%5B%5D=567443298&id%5B%5D=2136075668&id%5B%5D=748640954&x=12&y=11) )

On another note: Is recruuting from the ACHO newsgroup going to be a problem now that the group changed to "The Genome Collective" or can we easily try and get some more firepower from there?

All you can do is try. We might get flamed, but I doubt it would be that much of a problem. I don't think a constant birrage of posts would be a good idea though.

My first job when I was in school was to baby sity vaxxen. 10hrs/day at school, 12hr shifts at work. . . Guess where I slept? In one of the vaxxen cabinets... Slide an RL-01 out onto the floor, and climb inside the cabinet. Machine noise these days hardly keeps me from sleeping... Airflow? Those blowers will LIFT the rack if you take everything else out of it.. They're hovercraft...:p Some of the more USEFUL things I learned in school... How to sleep in a machine cabinet...

Better than that...
41 days for #3...
33 days for #4
:D

I think my way of calculating is of the most accurate. Units are not dumped very evenly... It's made of highs and lows...

Our best days vs their worst will show that we take #4 in 20 days while the opposite will be 60 days...

By using an average made by accumulating one week of dumps, I get a much smoother production curve that yield to a more accurate estimate...

siggy
5th August 2001, 20:26
Thats cool. Does it take into acct the stuff we were holding back so that we could secure #5. That is what I am worried about that it may be inflating the estimates.

That's what I don't like with -nonet, it give us some big bursts of false data... In a couple days, I'll have 1 month of data accumulated, we may then try to analyse some graphs and decide on how long we'll base the averages...
