View Full Version : Attn: Collective Dump Schedule

I know many people have been running NONET over the past few days, so please read the following, and post here if you are still in posession of your cargo.

Proposal: A "Collective" team dump, synchronised to coinside within say a 3 to 6 hour period. Perhaps 24 hours from the close of voting. This should allow for all new team members to get settled and get organised.

Lets' start off with a nice bump in the stat's to announce our merger.

So please follow up here in this thread, and feel free to suggest a suitable time for us all to work around.

Welcome to the new age everyone!

Argh! you should have said this 30mins ago!

The only real problem I see with this besides getting the word out and scheduling for the different time zones is Ars has thier Elep[H]ant [H]unt Dump scheduled for tomorrow as well. Would not want our dump to be over-shadowed by thier dump!

Personally I'm getting a little antsy as I have dropped 11 places in the top 1000 users chart since I started the -nonet on the 4th. But will do whatever is decided by the team. 114 genes ready to dump atm.

I think this may be a little late to arrange a collective dump....most ppl may have dropped their cargo by now.

PS Phil, is your missus still talking to you  ????? Or have you been a true multi-tasking diplomatic new age guy (with no sleep).???

I have about 70 - 75 to dump between the 4 machines I've been nonetting on. You guys just let me know when, and I'll take a dump....err, I mean I'll do a cache dump into the new team. ;)

By the way, I just got some new parts, and I'll be bringing another (possibly 2) high-clock Thunderbird box online in the next couple days. :D

Nice one Hemi, welcome onboard. Well, as you can see, we may not have a large dumping group, so just hang with us for a couple of hours if you can. You are of course free to releave yourself if you can't hold on :p

Like a dummy I started dumping into Skz team instead of the new team. 2 .98's slipped through my dump. I think Sniper is going to regret not nonetting. We'll have a long way to catch everyone.

I am ready to dump cache as well, let me know when.

Come on guys, how do you feel about leaving the dump for say another 18 hours? Just speak your minds.

Now ?

or

Wait ?

Since there already is a dump going on and the new name has hit the board. How about a dump?

TGC

Looks like we have missed the boat on this one. Seems we were unable to get this setup in time to make one large collective dump, so my suggestion would be to go ahead and dump. At the very least I need to empty the cache on 2 systems so I can install new hdd's.

There is nothing in the books stating that we can't dump at predetermined times for the weeks to come. How about 12pm GMT next Sunday?

Glad to be part of the team.

Glad to have you as a team-mate, mate!

PS. Which part of sniper_virus are you? :D

I can't see any point holding on any longer, and Phil has not come through with a cork for my a*#e, so I gunna dump all my genes in 15 minutes, unless someone talks me out of it.... [V]ery unlikely....

Edit you user profile dude. Top right of your page, "USER", then pick an Avitar. I think Phil will be providing a whole swag of Avitars later, whats there now is the best he could do at such short notice. He has done real well though, Avitars are Bells and Whistles, when all we needed was a board in a hurry.....

Already made a nice dump to start things out. Wont show up until later in the afternoon.

Looks like the 2pm readings at Statsman gave us a nice 2500WU's shove and put us at the top for that hour.

Am looking foward to the next reading in a couple of hours.

Great Job Guys and Gals!

Siggy, to prevent that from happening again do this. Click on start, settings, taskbar, advanced, remove, startup, genome@home. If you do this it won't startup automatically the next time. Sniper gave me another computer to work on. I'll get it up as soon as possible. He explained why he couldn't reimage the pc's. I understand fully now. Wish he would've told me sooner before I made an a** out of myself. We gotta move, we have people to stomp on. :)

I just dumped 73 genes about 30 minutes ago. It should show up for the 6:00PM (PDT - Stanford time) update in a couple hours.

:D

I can't wait to get a few more boxes up and running.

I think we might be beatin' up the servers at Stanford - I uploaded a ton of genes right after the previous (3 hours ago) stats update, and they haven't showed up yet. I just checked the most recent update from Stanford and nothing new for me. Hopefully they'll be there soon. :D

LOL Hemi the low man on the totem pole!!! Not that i think it will last for long but I'll be hopping up and down doing my pee-pee dance while I am still ahead of you.;)

In the immortal words of Jack Nichelson "In my book two out of three ain't bad" missed taking the top spot on the third go around by a few hundred, but still placing third in total units for the day! Good job everyone, keep them coming.

Hello, Siggy
Something you may want to try also is add the "run of network" to your start up. After removing the genome@home from startup. (Going step by step in just in case) Just right click the start button, click on the + by progarams then again by the genome directory, right click and hold on "run of Network" and drag it to the "start up" folder. If it ever reboots while you are gone it will just start in network. Its handy if you are gone for awhile and something happens to the power.
