Sure. I leave the box up all the time

it asks for a password staright off. hit enter until you get a login. (I used rlogin and rsh)

Username dnar and I think I told ya the password (rand backwards, real hard isn't it)

If it doesn't work at all, my net may have died.

I think my IP hasn't changed, but I should check

Dude, i can help people out with installs too if ya need some help. What kinds of problems are peeps havin'?

I'll set up a range for your IP addy in hosts.allow

Could ya check samba out along with the ctrl-alt-f1 prob?

Tryin' to get smbclient //crunchin/transfers/ to werk . or any kind of samba connection. There is no password for crunchin

crunchin's ip on the LAN is 192.168.0.3

My IP is 24.30.12.217
port 22 is ssh. port forwarding is set up.
I can rlogin from a conmsole to myself.

Yeah, we have a linux forum, but its fun confusing people that don't know what we're talkin about :D

Mech, I tried your system and rsh and rlogin connections are refused.

My IP today is: 203.59.161.62

I'll leave a hole in my firewall for tonight and try later.

Help, come and help for sure. General partitioning questions mostly at this stage. We seam to have covered loads before on the LInux forum, that is becoming a good ref for peeps I think.

I am spending a considerable amount of time on channel 2 of the chat room these days, its the quickest way to help out.

You get that sendmail problem sorted bro?

Thats OK MechCD. Since I am banned from the Linux forum it is OK to hear about it every once in a while. Just to know it is still out there.:p

Der, Me thinks me net may have been out, i got up this morning and the cable modem was flashin' lites and wouldn't connect. Also, I'm not sure if I have an IP range set up right.

But doesn't "connection refused" mean it connected, but couldn't get in?
