Actually I do too but I can get Guiness here but no Boddingtons. Little bit lighter and not as filling. The wife got me to try it and it wasn't half bad. Definitely a lot better than Smiles which I didn't exactly see what the big deal was all about.

Figured I couldn't contain myself from putting my big fat head in here and at least saying hi. Like I told you though I will refrain from any real comments until the voting is complete and you guys have made a decision.

I haven't even been drinking and I can't type

I like Guiness these days, cos I can drink it forever. I can just keep throwing it down all night (especially if I've skipped a meal) - helps me keep up with the young-uns. 5 pints of Boddies and and I'm smashed ;)

Only 8hrs left on the vote. pretty encouraging :)

BTW, did I mention, I love this BB - damned fast too :)

Not me I get full after a couple of Guinesses but they definitely do taste good. Remember your first time opening up a can to see what exactly the widget was? Thought someone had accidently dropped a ping pong ball into my beer!!:eek:

Seriously, cans are nice too - but the creamy smooth, nutty taste of a hand pulled pint, topped with a shamrock, is trully something to behold :p :D

I know. There are a few "pubs" here that have it on draft but when I was living in Texas you were lucky to even find it in a bottle nevermind a can. Believe me I am surrounded by Irish folk around here so Guiness and Shamrocks are plentiful.

Just thinking that if it were possible to install a chat room similar to SkyzDaLimit has here. Seems like you and I are having a good conversation on 2 different threads.:p

The chat room is workable, it's part of the vBulletin package, but this is a temporary board and very young too. It's definitely on the cards though, Virus, Pelligrini and I had a good old chinwag the other day on the old a.c.h.o BB, so it's something to look forward to. The enlarged member base should also mean that it'd be pretty active. Look forward to comparing pub stories, but I gotta sleep now. i work in a hospital and I'm on duty tomorrow - hate to leave but i gotta pay the piper ;)

Best brew I ever had was in Salzburg, Austria. The year 1989 in a local brewery. The beer...a local weiss beer. From night till today, all others taste like goat piss.

That is my story and I'm sticking by it...:D

All I remember is that it was a "weiss" beer. Be patient, I have friends who still live in Salzburg. I will email them and ask for the name of the establishment. I do know that many years ago, I inquired if the beer was imported to the US. It was not! You would think that with a last name like Bierman, I would just love beer. Not the case... I long for that beer in Salzburg.

I've never tasted goat piss but I rather suspect it tastes very nasty. Except for that beer in Salzburg, everything I have tasted since than has been rather nasty....
