Ok, some doom3 eye candy, man this game is *dog* slow on my box....

There three levels on the leaked E3 alpha, this is in the bathroom on level 3, a particularly nasty beasty....

After dispatcing the guy in the screenies, the beasties disappears into the shadows, and the half-eaten guy re-animates as a zombie, frag him and walk into the bathroom. Take a look in the mirror....

...Whoa, the atmosphere and lighting are increadible - it's like being inside a movie, it really is something special. This is a crappy alpha-leek, but it's clear ID have gone the extra 9 yards and turned out something we will be talking about for a year! Start saving for those graphics cards guys, you're gonna want to play this one with all the bells and whistles running.

See how the shadows change in the screenies, that's cos the bathroom light is swinging all over and the shadows are sooooooo real, like a cross between a hitchcock film and alien. Awesome.

Do we know what the recommended hardware "is". Has to be steap from the look of it. Bad, very bad, screenies though. Thx Tril!

Dunno for sure Ben, the demo was a working internal demo supposedly leaked by ATI. ID had sent them the demo so they could tweak their graphics cards. The Alpha is un-optimised and un-bugged, though it does run fine, the FPS I'm getting is horrendous.

The following screenie was taken in a corridor standing still - see....

The game is supposedly far more graphics card dependant than proc orientated, but this just wont go on my GF3.

should be good. hope they dont screw up the story. Valve makes a good story, id games have never had good story. which is unfortunate...Ill be getting a GeforceFX i think when it comes out...but i have yet to see a good compair in my game mag for it verse the ATI...even still i think iwould go with geforce even if ATI is a bit faster...Nvidia has never given me a reason to complain....linux support and good driver support. cant complain.... good product.
