View Full Version : GAH2 Beta

Last week Stefan mentioned that there would soon be a new FAH3/GAH2 core for testing and that it would probably go Gold by the end of the month. The beta test did start this morning and I've got a couple of clients running. (Both proteins are over the 100 AA length that was a previous limitation.)

Hi all,

Just a quick note to let you all know the purpose behind this beta-test. We're testing our new protein design core, denoted Core_ca. This new code is much more "flexible" and allows us to go beyond full-protein design, to do things like design protein complexes and partial redesign of proteins.

This is the code that all our design work will be based on for the next year or so. The changes inherent in this new core will allow us to explore the next round of scientific questions, about which we're very excited.

It's been fairly stable so far in internal testing, but we're especially interested in testing it on a variety of Windows versions and Linux flavours.

Thanks in advance for all your help - Stefan
