Does anybody run this CPU ?
What are your temps like idle and full load ?
Does 130F with an SLK 800 and 80mm Vantec 2500rpm fan sound right.
CPU is not overclocked...yet :D

130F...what's that in old money? I am running dual XP2400's @ 2325MHz - 1.825v at this moment and full load temps are ~46C with SLK800's and low cfm 80mm fans.

Ahem! Do I sense dissension (sp?)? You Blokes are to the most a sub-junction of the Collective, *maybe* a Unimatrix... j/k

Its made by vantec, its called the tmp. When i was using the slk800, running @ 100% cup load, my temps were at 135F. With this new heatsink fan, running @ 100% and using several other programs besides G@H, my temps are at 115F, so thats a considerable drop, I would say. I bought my hsf locally, the website is :
http://www.sr-systems.com
Check them out, I know veggyhed swears by the slk's, but this is just my trials at trying to obtain a cooler pc.

So..you've never gone the way of WC'ing yet Mr. Veggyhed? I started with a very cheap kit, and the results from that were amazing. I've since upgraded piece by piece to the good stuff. I'll never use HSF combo's again....
I had a major over heating problem with OC'ing my chip in a non-A/C'ed environment.

I have not really got into OC`ing. My XP`s are turned up a little. I would like to try WC`ing just for the noise reason. I am thinking about it but it would have to be a system that could cool 3 to 4 computers at the same time with not too much additional hardware to purchase.
Then again I can just buy a faster chip for the same price as your WC kit and still out crunch u :D

Yeah, but you wouldn't be able to impress all of the ladies with showing them your stats. ;) I love the comments I get when people come inside my home and see my WC'er in the corner...one reason why I haven't tucked it all away in another case yet. :)

Found a review of that heatsink here (http://www.overclockers.com/articles635/) at overclockers.com (http://www.overclockers.com). Better performance than the SK6 and only $45 Cdn!

Do u have intake case fans in the front ?
If u do try cutting power to them and then check your temps.
Newt001
