Joining chat channels

Why do we have to have all these different channels in the chat room now? when it first started there was just the one and I knew where i was straight into the channel......

Now how the bloody hell do you go about joining the Genome channel cause i have not sussed it yet :(

when you enter chat, do the following:

/JOIN 2

/NICK yourname (no spaces are allowed in the name)



If you are the first to channel 2, you will own the channel and should name it "TheGenomeCollective" like so:



/TOPIC TheGenomeCollective

Hi chas, firstly type /nick chas. This will change your name. Now type /finger to see what channels are available and where you are. To join a channel type /join # where # is the channel number you want to join. /help is a useful command also.

There is also a button for finger. I usually hit that first to see what channels are available. Then I do /join # .

Just be careful not to join "The Pug Channel" - there are some scary folk in there!
