If they are accurate, I just found out that I'm gonna be a dad! Siggy, don't tell Sniper.:o

They are definitely accurate. Wife has only tried them twice and each time they have come back positive. The second one is currently baking in the oven until it's done sometime in January. Congratulations!!:D

If baked just right, March or April should be just about right. We'll have to make an appointment next week to see the doc.

Thanks

Is there anyway to overclock the wife's oven. 9 months a wu is awful long.:D

After it comes out you'll be wishing that it would have taken longer. No sleep, poopy diapers and just general chaos because you have absolutely no cloue what you are doing.:D

9 months IS really a long wu, but this one will eclipse all of your previous ones. You have not experienced anything in your life that can compare to having a new child. It's the single best thing that has ever happened to me in my life, with my wedding a close second.:D Treat her well over the next month, because she's going to need a lot of extra care. Congratulations to both of you!:D

Could not put it better myself, Congratulations to you both, you had better start thinking about what machine to buy baby when he/she arrives....... :D

Congratulations! It is an experience like no other. Heh rest now while you can. Start working on the nursery around the five month period because you will have no time later:D Enjoy outings with your friends and family now, I haven't been anywhere in 2 weeks! You'll have a lot of fun with it I'm exhausted but I'm still in a good mood:p very scary for me. The best part is when you just finish getting them changed and they do whatever and you have to do it over again (so far the record is 3 complete changes in a row)

Cheers

Congradulations to the better half Virus.

Did you get that bundle of joy a computer yet?

A nice Tbird running Genome would fit the bill.

I was considering teaching the baby how to type at the 3 day mark. Is that too soon?;)

Hey congrats man - the test is usually way more reliable than a hospital lab. The labs use cheapo test kits, those from the Chemist are hella expensive and very sensitive.

Well done mate all my best to you missus :)

Assuming they are accurate, I too will be a dad again (#3) in March/April.

I know we all said we needed to ramp up production, but this is either a long-term strategy or some of us didn't understand.

hey congrats Mike, well done!

Someone ought to do a study on genome crunching and fertility rates :)

I think I figured out the correlation. It goes like this:

1) All computers in house crunching genome.
2) Spouse #1 says, Wanna play Q3A or ICQ.
3) Spouse #2 says, And take those precious cycles away. Not!
4) Spouse #1 & 2 think for a while...

Eyes meet.. wink wink, nudge nudge, know what I mean :)

Congratulations :D

Double CONGRATS to Mike and Virus!!! :D :D :D

I know I'm late, but I couldn't touch a PC in the last two days... You know, me and my wife are "waiting" for the best gift in a man's life (scheduled date: mid of January 2002) so we are spending our weekends buying premaman dresses and "acquiring" as more prices as possible about baby stuff!!!

I think all this is a GREAT JOY!!!!!!!!!!

GeeK!

Ha! Really long term strategy. Way to think of the team here Mike. Not just adding crunchers but adding a new member to the team. Now that is dedication. Congrats on the little one. 3 now, you're going to have your hands full.:D

So does that mean just by joining the team I'm going to get preggers, or do I actually need to go find a guy?!?! Someone help me out with this one...

Thanks!:p :D

P.S. the EPT is generally rated independently as 99.2%+ accurate. It's a 40-50mIU test. It won't show a positive as early as a 15-25mIU test (such as Equate, Early Response, or something like Clearblue Easy for you UK types.) But the 40-50mIU is also more likely to be accurate if you wait a bit longer. Bottom line is: If anything from the best 15mIU to the lowest-end 100mIU says you're pregnant, 99%+ you're pregnant. It's all a matter of how soon after a missed cycle they'll work... For those that don't know, Home Pregnancy Tests (HPTs) are designed to detect hCG, a hormone released by the placenta right after the embryo begins implanting into the uterine lining. As long as you're not on Hormone Replacement Therapy, getting even a single false positive, let alone two, is extrodinarily rare...

But then, I'm sure that's more than anyone wanted to know...

On the important side of the house: CONGRATS, DAD(s)!!!

When is it *my* turn?!!?
