You know folks, we've had a couple of applets on the old site, and there was some dismay as to the stolen cpu cycles of said applets. You might want to check this applet's cpu usage before you get too far along. ;)

I was wondering the same thing myself.

Looks good, makes my laptop kinda sluggush though. No problem on my other 2 computers, nice and smooth.
Things are starting to look really good overall.
I'll have to read the doc on the applet, but the parameters look simple. The one thing I'm not sure of is whether KWSN is using dynamic data to feed the applet. I just typed in the stuff that's there now.
I emailed tril yesterday about working on the site, so hopefully he gets back to me soon and we can start plugging these ideas in...

So that's why you've been ignoring me Hemi!!

Not too bad on the eyes and went fast enough for me. Perhaps if you could spice it up a little with different fonts etc. would be my only suggestion.

Great to see already a lot of input of all the "new" members, like your self:cool: :D
Keep on the good work!!
stall: nah, I haven't been ignoring you....I left OE open on my laptop at home, so it's been downloading my email (I assume that's what you are talking about) before I can get it from the web client. I'll be home in the next hour, so I'll get back to you then...
MSNM is still down. :(

Hemi, I didn't get your mail :(
So, I dropped one to you just now - check your mailbox.
BTW, Phil, is there any reason PM's are disabled on the board?
Cheers..
That took me like 6 minutes to download the applet, and then change the text and colors...
If this is something we want, I can work on getting it set up with our own style (not like KWSN), and have it display dynamic data (rank, active members, etc.). I need to talk to trilly so I can figure out what we are going to be using on the server (although Phil could answer that too.)
Phil: BTW, I sent you an email earlier, don't know if you got it. I have a simple ? for you regarding the avatars... :)

Yeah, the Avatar's are great - did I say, I love this Board ;)
Hemi, I zipped up the website I put together and sent it to you to work your magic - take a free hand bro ;)
Michael, will you still edit in the daily content etc :bigplease: :)
Between the three of us, we should have something pretty cool here in no time - wahoo.
hey, you know something, all other teams I've ever seen have been the concept of an individual 9or maybe two), this is the first time I've ever seen a whole community working toward a creating something singular - pretty damned cool or what?
I wouldn't mind betting there are a lot of folks watching this with enormous interest :)

I think it is great. I love this BB. I like being part of a larger group too, more ppl to have fun with. Great job to all involved.

tril, got the zip, and I wrote you back right away.
I also was wondering if you could upload a file for me... :) We might have to ask Phil about it though.

Mailed ya back bro - I love your ideas, we gotta check with Phill though, before I start FTP'ing scripts 'n stuff to his Server - make sure it doesn't screw with anything he's got going on :)

Talking it through with hemi now - he's got some great ideas for automating and streemlining all sorts of cool stuff. Be patient though Wyle's, we've a ton of stuff to work through - it'll get done :)
This'll be the coolest damned team in the community :D
Gonna take a day or two to fix though ;)

Hi all, I've been working on a logo for the new team. Based on the original "collective" idea. Done in Poser, PSP, and Canoma.
You can view it here. (http://members.home.com/chriswellison/borg1.jpg)

Great work Chris, those poser models scare the crap outa me too :D
Nice nebula effect on the background too.
Did you see on the website suggestion I put forward, a page called "art gallery"? It struck me that a lot of folks in here are quite talented, somewhere to have a record of such stuff :)
Hey Chris
That is bloody brilliant mate looks well impressive :D
