nope...it says it's not installed, and I'm too lazy to download it from some where. I just have it set to make a client immage after each frame, and my http source grabs that picture for my welcome page.
;)
IIS is included with WinXP, and it's pretty damned good. If you do not have a static IP (I don't), use the no-ip.com DNS client. It runs as a service, and always updates your IP to their DNS servers. So hence, my web site is down for about 2 min everytime I ever log off my ADSL...but, I never do that, so I only have that problem while I restart.

My problem is my router. It is a linksys and it holds me prisoner behind it. I can never get out with a server of any kind. I think it also has to do with my cable ISP.
Any suggestions

Your router blocks port 80? That's a little drastic....
Well, first, try unblocking port 80. ;)
After that, you'll be able to tell if it's your ISP or not. I'm guessing their tech support is the same as a goldfish...they don't remember any actual info about their own service. ;)
IIS' basic web service just hosts the web site on port 80. I never changed any advanced settinggs.
I just downloaded te security patches, to lock everything up inless I use it. I strogly recomend this to all who use IIS!!!
I should also mention I'm not too sure about the IIS/ISP thing. I have according to my ISP (Hinet), their buisness package. 1.5/34 ADSL. I pay about $55 USD a month. Their cheaper service, 1.5/16 ADSL, is only about $20 USD a month.
But, I don't believe that would have anything to do with hosting a web server. I believe any ISP should noit be able to block that, due to the port 80 thing. Many file sharing progies use port 80 also. I had to play with my ED2K to get them to not use the same ports.

No my router does not block port 80. Incoming packets cant find there way to my work station IP address. This is partly due to my stupidity when it comes to networking. When I throw up a web server on my work station behind my router I cant seem to find my IP address from outside the LAN even if my WS is placed in the DMZ.
If i try and ping TGC with traceroute I never get a ping back.
