just another problem......

while plugging in my moniter the screwed up and bend a pen in half.. now my moniter is very green. It will still work, but all colors are off. Anyone ever do this? how do I fix it?

You may be able to replace the socket. You may be able to get a new one from an electronics store and take your time to solder the new one in just like the old one. If you have not had much time soldering practice a little on some wire just to see if draw in the wire good. If you don't feel comfortable doing it check around for monitor repair places.

Does the monitor cable detach from the monitor? If it does, you can get a new cable.

Is the pin broken off or pushed in? If it is partially pushed in, you may be able to pull it out flush with needle nose pliers. If it is broken off, and you have another broken monitor, you could splice in the cable off the broken monitor.
