Anybody seen this. Using Win98 se. After g@h has been running for awhile the g@h box in the taskbar disappears. I can make it reappear just by clicking on the taskbar. Or trying to run it again, when the already running question turns up I just say no and it shows up also. First time I saw it I thought it had stopped and tried starting again.

That's weird Stilgar... i've got 10 clients running under 98se and have never seen that! Just how far is the machine in question being pushed? You might have a corrupt system file.... :(

This is my son-in-laws machine. Right now not overclocked. I'm in the process of talking him in to it. No errors turn up and g@h is running along good. Almost like it was stealthed. But it will show up at a ctrl-alt-del.

There must be something installed that's causing a minor glitch. The first app that came out to hide the client window gave me some problems so i stopped using it. There were some similar snafus involving the taskbar with it.... At least it's not causing any BSOD's or "invalid page faults"! :D

Well, had it over again for a while to add a dvd player and work on a few things. For what ever reason it has stopped doing it. At least while it was here. I'm not sure what happened. From talking to him no real changes made.

Just a thought: Does he run a wallpaper program called webshots? I ran it for a while and although I couldn't pin anything specific on it, when I stopped, the strange problems also stopped.

Nope, it was a fresh install of win98se. Really just had I.E., outhouse, and a couple small programs. Right now he is having problems seeing some websites. (Website not found) But I can follow right after and go to them no problem on my computer. I have a feeling he is tinkering around and changing all sorts of settings. Found parental lock on I.E. but he did not know he had set it. Have not had a chance to side by side his settings and mine. I have a feeling something may turn up there.

Hummmm....the only time I seen anything like this happen is when “explorer” crashes and the screen doesn’t refresh/reload correctly but only on an old 98PC:confused:
