First warning:

USA Basher,

Your title and Organisation detail is inappropriate at this time. This is the only forum I can contact you on. I will remove you from the team unless you change your title and details by Sunday.

I think I know who you are. Don't be like this.

Another Troll? Man, you know you have a good forum when it defends "other" forums against trolls! ;)

Shoot back! Fight Crime! :D

USA Basher,

You're not who I thought you might be so I have no reason to be nice to you. Change your details or be gone!

I don't see too much of a problem with the name, especially the organization. "I feel right at home" is not offensive. I may not particularly like the name "USA Basher" but I don't see why the person should be kicked. If anything, it should stay, being that the US prides itself on the right to free speech.

I don't think this is the same as the prior personal attacks on an individual.

If we are going to start censoring you had better ask YoMama to change his organization as well.

YoMama- I have no problems with "Sheep Lovers Anonymous" but I had to take issue to make a point.

What forum is it on? That may have something to do with it.

It's not on a forum. It is in the DF team stats.

Unfortunately the discussions about the war can cause divide and resentment, even though they are kept well in the realm of civilised debate. Ninjamicros lost a member who took all antiwar comments as anti US, and really felt the discussion was a personal attack on the US. he left "not wanting to be a part of a team that hated the US so much". The discussion here has been just as civil (ie - extremely so especially given the depth of opinions), but maybe someone took a similar view.
Disappointing really. A better way would be to join the debate and voice your opinion.

RIGHT ON!!!!

The only statement this individual is making is that they are an anonymous coward.

Bless you Wylie!

So he stays? What is the team view?

I took the name and detail to mean that this person thought TGC was full of other USA bashers. This misrepresents TGC.

I don't much care. If an anonymous coward wants to hang around and isn't making personal attacks, why not? TGC as well as the USA can survive this weenie quite nicely thank you. There's a big difference between this and the last bit of silliness.

IMO, natch.

The message is so crude that it has little impact except to convey the puerility of the person behind it. I would like a policy that forbids only personal attacks against other members. We're a diverse enough and tolerant enough crew to put up with other kinds of crap.
