Do you have to do the pencil trick on the new 1ghz/266 tbirds?

Yes....all T-Birds from 1.2 upwards are unlocked

Do they even make those? The prolly do, i just don't know about it.
Like phl said, all 1.2ghz plus are unlocked (my 1.3 ghz is, 100fsb)

I would never use a pencil to unlock a T-bird. Always use a conducting pen!

Why not? My Tbird-C is pencil unlocked, running 10x145 - 24x7 no probs, uptime prooves it:
[wayne@Criten wayne]$ uptime
11:50pm up 39 days, 7:53, 3 users, load average: 2.16, 2.14, 2.14
or 4,885,920,000,028,380 CPU cycles to be exact...
