I'd just like to say to everyone on the TGC DF team, it is really gratifying to see how we have upped production recently. I hope this is a sign of greater things to come.
WOOT!!!

I did a small upgrade of my machine from 1333 => 2400xp so more power to the borg cube :)
I'll be adding a machine back to DF once I have my WC gear show up :)

Were these actual machines you wanted to have left alone - or ones that were "past their prime" and in need of a little help to die? ;) Hopefully the replacements will be inexpensive and blazingly faster than what they replaced. :)
I keep setting up and "testing" new systems for customers - but the ones with the fast machines all want their systems immediately. The p300 Mhz folks just want to torture me. *snicker*

I am in the process of testing 18 new P4-2.4s. It's going really badly. For some reason they seem to have these strange processes hogging all the cpu and memory. Can't seem to work out what the problem is. Anybody?
Yes, get rid of Winblows and install Linux.

what are the name of the processes that are eating up cpu time when DF isn't running?
are they infected with some other DC project? ;) or one of the latest worms?

I'm sorry? DF isn't running I'm having trouble parsing that phrase...

Mike - I missed the fact that you were joking about DF being used to test out the new systems and it eats up all the cpu and ram. :)
It sounded like you had serious problems: processes stealing cpu time and ram from DF. ;)
