I posted this on the SDL board, but it didn't help much. Does anyone know how to get in touch with bcoe. He is one of our best crunchers. I looked at the stats and he is still sending in genes to the old team. I haven't seen him post anythying lately.

I'll crank him out an email in a little bit.

Going to also post a blurb on the front page news as well, so all can see what is happening. Last I checked, there are still 3 people crunching under the Skz banner.

Maybe we could put something on the SDL website, where we use to keep the stats, and the message of the day. It has not been updated since 6/29. Maybe that will let everyone know that we have a new home now.

That you Michael? Great to see you in here :) - wow, this is working great. I just dropped Phil a mail to get your mod status going, things are a little chaotic at the mo :)

I also zipped up the website and sent it to hemi for him to do his magic with. If you're still up for maintaining the webpage, let me know - I for one would love to see your motivating words scrolling down that page - Cheers :D

Hey Bro, it is me. Great to be here!

Nice to see that things are coming along so well. Just checked Statsman and we had a nice 2000 + dump again, outdoing [H] and ARS again.

Really hope and believe we can keep this up and show everyone this is going to be a success.

Still awaiting the website mods, will look for them in the email when you have everything ready. Already have some motivating words lined up and ready to go.

(For Ann "siggy")

Already have something in on the front page of the SETI site, just need to add the URL to the BB. Forgot to add it when I did the original write-up.

I think Medic (Deryck) should post a blurb on the Genome site as well in case we have any visitors from the outside.

Also need a new banner I can put on the SkzDaLimit DC gateway page to direct them to here and the upcoming website.

That's all I can think of for the time being, but I am sure I'll come up with something later.

Great to see you here and I'm becomming more and more certain of the success of this venture with each hour. the teams have almost seemelessly slipped together, it's really good stuff. There's sutch a feelgood buzz in here - kinda makes me warm all over ;)

There's a ton of things to keep us busy. I guess it'll be pretty crazy for a day or so, with ppl just saying hi and running around all over the place, playing with all the cool BB feature etc. It's great to see everyone just move in and make home. One thing I'm absolutely certain of though - this IS a team. All the issues will get dealt with, but everyones just having so much fun, it's hard to keep track of it at the mo.

Hemi is working on the site as we speak, we need to get the framework in place before all else. One of us will drop you a line as we get closer to getting it sorted. Hemi came up with the idea of using some kind of page script, that will allow plain text updates into a text box, directly online. So you should be able to update as, where and when the inclination strikes, without need for FTP etc. It's just gonna take a little while to work. But the entheusiasm from everyone is clear.

We doing something pretty cool here :)
Later ;)

Sounds like the set up I have on the team SETI site main page. I just go to a URL and post what I want it and it formats it and throughs the finished product up.

Newspro I think is the service, and I have seen it on several other websites and liked the ease of using it.

Newspro is exactly what it is man - Hemi's working it into the site :)

I'll get the Skz G@H site updated with a message about the merger and a link to the site ASAP. I'm busy playing with my new toy. I just went out and got a TIVO. It's soooo cool being able to pause live tv!:p :p This will keep me busy for a couple weeks until I get bored and want a new toy.:D

We use something similar over at OcPrices (http://www.ocprices.com). It works great until the site admin is out of town :)

That's exactly where I got the idea from......LOL!

BTW: I finally start work today (yeah) after 4 months of damned dismal unemployment, so I will be out of the mix during the afternoons.

I have 4 hours of training this afternoon from 4 to 8pm and my regular schedule starts tomorrow from 2p to 1030pm.

I can manage any type of web problems in the mornings or late evening when I get home. Hopefully we plan on having a back up web admin in case one of us is gone or not available.

That's it for my news. Everything seems to be pulling together nicely so far, was checking the stats and we're growing and pumping the WU's out.

Congrats Micheal.....but work sucks. I am working nights this week, so if I am unavailable between 9pm and 7:30AM (BST) don't worry....I am still alive!!

Welcome BCOE. I heard a rumor that you made the switch. Welcome to our new home.

Just looked who's dumping where...

bcoe, Miles, sniper_virii and tenminjoe still dumping to SDL

wbierman still dumping to the now obsolete The_Genomers_Collective

I think it's just layover stuff. wbierman is methodically throwing people left and right as he moves up in the standings. A force to be reconed with.:)

Just not very chatty.
What you all have done here, I'm sure will renew everyones interest in genome.

I have completely moved in case any of you are wondering.

OK, how many of you have been to Dollywood, TN? I have to say I have... Ran into it one summer driving around TN. It just poped up out of nowhere. Wife had a fit cause I wouldn't stop. I had to stop but did not go in....to the park that is. My wife was going to have to pull my dead cold fingers off the steering wheel. She opted to whack me up side the head and proceeded to go in without me. I survived.....
