- Our new hardware is successfully in place and so we have scheduled the update to Phase II to occur on Tuesday June 17. If this should change for any reason we'll post a follow up message here. The servers will be down for several hours during this period. Also for techincal reasons, you will NOT be e-mailed when the update becomes available, if you usually are. However once up again, auto-update should function as normal. If folding offline, please remember NO credit will be given for old proteins after this switch, so upload any buffered data between now and Monday to be safe.

Great!
I have added another 1.6 Ghz at work this weekend.
It "needed" some repairs.
The job will take a few days
(It just needed a new network card, and the job is done, but does anyone need to know that?;) )

Right now I am working on v3.0 which should have some cool new features and info related to Phase II. If I don't have that finished by the time Phase II starts next week I will release v2.3 for everyone to use in the mean time.

v2.3 will be the same as people were using during the beta testing of Phase II. As long as Howard didn't change anything major (which he didn't forsee) then it should work just fine.

Short Answer: Don't worry, there will be a dfGUI version that works with Phase II right away.

Jeff.

Servers are being updated as I type. Phase II is about to start. Now is the time to do some maintenance on your pharms as there's no point folding the old client any more!

Can't wait to get the new one!

Yeah, got mine and updated the small P3 farm. Gonna leave the P4 farm for a while and see how I do in the stats. The P4s are the ones that I have been warned about so not too keen to start with them now that Phase I is over and I secured my top ten place.

It sure runs different, the way it is using the CPU.

6 of my machines downloaded the new client, but died because I had -S settings in the foldit.bat file..
whoops.. forgot about that. (we beta testers didn't yell enough about that) probably lost a few systems because of that. *sniff*

Here's hoping we end up with the lowest score.. ;)
