Not low enough! I won't buy anymore T-birds. The temps are killing me and my AC / electrical bill. In the future I'll only buy the Palomino's. I wish AMD would get off their butt and start ramping these things up. I heard they are waiting for Intel to blow their load here at the end of the month, then they are going to release their Paly's at up to 1.5 GHz next month along with the 1 GHz Duron maybe. I'm crossing my fingers. Oh, Crucial is having free 2nd day shipping on all their memory until August 12th in case anyone is looking. I love the price of memory now.

What temps? Are you blowing on them individually? All my 1.2s run in the 32C to 36C range 24/7.

Well you must live in Antarctica. The only way you can get temps that low is with some high powered cooling. No way you can run that cool with a HSF combo. They must not be OC'd either. HSF you can do the 40's but not the 30's. If so I'd like to see your setup and some benchmarks w/ temp.

Not that I don't believe you, just have a hard time swallowing that. Please prove me wrong. :D

Pass the crow please...

Sorry Medic, I mis-spoke. My temp range is really 35C to 45C.

Currentlly my temps are: @11:50 PM PST

Ambient outside temp: 63 degrees

Humidity: 72%

Ambient inside house temp: 73 degrees

Mobo temp: 22C / 71 degrees

CPU temp: 35C to 37C / 96-98 degrees

Operating AMD T-bird 1GHz@1.2GHz running Win2K AS with CPU Usage: 100% MemUsage: 303456K With 47 Processes running.

Heatsink: Vantec High Performance. Fan: Delta screaming banchee. 7000 rpm. Both bottom of heatsink and CPU core are lapped. Regular heat compound.

All my machine are running in this range. A benifit living in a city with ideal temps, not to hot and not to cold. The most temperate climit in the US.

I live in Oklahoma and hence my temps are always high. I have mine in the low 50 to 50C and that is good. It's hotter than hell here. Using 2 deltas and a thermalright SK6 HS.

I'm using the A7A266 and it's a pretty good board. Next month I'll be upgrading to the A7V266.

could you put some ice cubes close to the fan and it will draw in cooler air? Course it makes a difference if they are sucking or blowing. Maybe set a glass of ice cubes on the inside.

COurse dry ice would be better but now your talking $$$.

Man we get screwed over here...
Even allowing for the crap exchange rate we still pay about 33-50% more.

I guess we just dont have as big a market to force competition.

Why not just have friends ship them to you from the states? Hollow out a book or some such. Are there severe penalties if you get caught?

Recomended Retail Price....this is the price manufacturers give to resellers as to what they think they should be sold for. The retailer can choose to price below the RRP.
