191 days killed by one storm

As of today, I had a 191 day uptime on my Win2k server. I got a gut feeling and pulled the plug at 5 am... twenty minutes later the power went out until 3 or so in the afternoon :(

Another set of storms is comin in, hopefully I can get the service pack and updates in before soemthing else goes haywire (or the basement floods again)

(2 sump pumps + no electricity = bad)

Yes, some of my cardboard did get wet, now I have a WetPile(tm) of Cardboard(tm)

The computers are on a stand, except the server LOL. I'm gonna throw some cinder blocks under it if I can find some.

lol. interestingly amusing. I dont know what the uptime on my linux server is. it only gets to like 50 days then rolls over, it rolled over about 8 days ago. dunno if thats the first or 2nd roll this time.

I know how u feel Mech. I had 127 days on my XP Pro box and came home to a Blank screen. Still have no idea what happened. :mad:

Linux box will only run for 97 days.
