OK - here is the problem.
My monitor doesn't want to run above 60Hz at 1280*960 whereas it does in Windows.
In Windows there is a nice little menu where you can change the refresh rate. In Linux there is no such thing.
You can change the Vertical Refresh Rates, but it is only a range (50-160 in my case). There must be a way to force my monitor to use 70Hz at 1280*960 like it does everyday in Windows. This is really annoying me now because I'm getting a real headache.
