Okay, installed. Did a full install and killed the redhat 9.0 Just a few updates on some of the programs installed. Install and setup painless. As of right now, does not seem to be any real changes. Up2Date still there, all programs still there. General feel same.

Does it use the same libc as RH9 ?

Can u tell a difference by looks ?

I am really happy with 9. I feel like I can almost ditch my XP box and switch to RH9.
I would still like to try LFS and see what that is all about. I should get a pretty good understanding of Linux by the time I am done with LFS :)

Yep, and barely yep.
Really not much difference. At least to me. Someone more nuts and bolts linux user might see more differences. Same programs, setup, as rh9.

The reason I ask about libc is that there has been lots of trouble with the FAH client and it. Not to mention right now all linux users under fah are only receiving tinker and no gromacs. :banghead:

Little update, think I'll keep it. (Had thought about dropping back in 9.0)
Yep, got the tinker going myself.

Why do u have to make my life difficult ?

Stop making me want to switch :D

Hey, get with it. Think of it this way. 9.0 will stop being updated, this one should keep going. Might as well swap now.

Fedora is more bleeding edge that any previous RedHat distrobution has ever been, and so it shall continue. It still is a major PITA regarding multi-media, your on your own to find mp3 and mpeg support. It is noticably faster that RH9 thanks to the ntpl kernel threading & Gnome 2.4. apart from that, it looks like RH9 with a buggy installation. My advise: wait for Fedora Core 2.

Several reviews (good/bad) for your reading pleasure:-

Kind of like this bleeding edge Dnar. Also for what I use it for. Works great. Been super stable. No problems on genome, don't really use this machine for mp3's so I would not know there.
