In Outlook, use the Export function to export to a .pst file. You can export the whole kit and caboodle then copy the .pst file to the new XP machine and import it.

Thanks Mike,
Works great after I saved it to a zip drive, when I burned a cd-r it wouldn't let me import it telling me I didn't have access permission, I really hate that.............goldie :baa:

For some bizarre reason it needs write permission to the archive file to be able to import it

I don't use outlook, but a friend asked for some help. I'll be seeing them again next week and they're going to ask me again.
I don't know what the original issue was, but they decided to create a new "file" and now they have two inboxes and two sets of various folders. Is is possible to merge them back into one set with a careful use of export/import?

Export both to somewhere very safe (but not so safe that you forget where it is). Delete both accounts from within Outlook. Re-start Outlook and it should ask you to create a new account. Once done, import the first .pst file then the second telling it to create duplicates if there are any rather than overwriting.
Should work but wtf do I know!
