I may not be able to do anything else - but I am crunching under Linux now ;)
What's with having to prefix an executable with "./" to get it to run? Took me a few minutes to figger out I had to type that to get ghclient.x to run :)
Unlike DOS, executables must be in the defined path. Typically stuff like /bin, /usr/bin, /usr/local/bin. executables in the your current directory are generally not found as a result. Hence the ./thefile
You will see that the system configuration utilities stored in /sbin and /usr/sbin are deliberately not in the defined path, this is for protection!
You must always specy the full path to most system config executables, ie. /sbin/init or /sbin/linuxconf
If you create any scripts yourself, put them in /usr/local/bin and make sure it's in your path assignment. I tend to also have a bin directory from my home: /home/wayne/bin. This just makes backups a little easier, as I backup /home each night.

Exactly right! And to sit down, all you have to do is type "mount /usr/dev -yourass | here" Simple, eh?

Yuppers! Sittin in the chair is like inserting a floppy or a CD, you need to mount yourself or the OS won't know your 're there :)
And you can set yourself to readonly and user mountable! Or mount on bootup!
Hmmmm, i wonder what filesystem dnar is?
