Got a great deal at the computer show this sunday. Not necessarily what I was looking for, but I couldn't turn it down. (I was only there to help a friend pick up a few items)
On one of the tables was a Asus P4P800 + P4 2.4C for $229. I thought it was a misprint, but it couldn't have been $299, or maybe it should. Anyway, they packed it up for me, retail processor, retail mobo, only opened to verify that all the cables, etc were in there.
Its a sweet little honey, right now running at 3.01 GHz, two instances of DF, retail hs/fan, and only 45c. Quiet, and very nice. The only downside is that I (for now) only have 512 of PC2100 (2x256 Crucial) in there, but running dual channel. I have another single 512 but as soon as I put it in, no matter the config, it craps out. No biggee, its just a 2100 as well.
