What type of front door do we want?

I like the portals myself. Something that shows who's online, last new posts callendar etc.. Like with the one we had before, anyone can post news and such. I'm inclined to go with vBportal (http://www.vbportal.com) if we end up getting a skin from vBskinz (http://www.vbskinz.com).

I used our old one all the time, it was the homepage on all my working machines. I really miss that google quick search too.

vbhome, or vbhome lite is better pell. Doesnt create nearly as many queries as vBportal and it's free.
