I just saw this on the yahoo board:
Maybe this program will meet your needs - monitoring unlimited number of clients via shared drives or network neighborhood, details about current, cached and unsent work, Performance Index and much more.

Now still tested exclusively by AMD_Power_Germany Team members. Published in 1-2 weeks, when Genome Spy Homepage will go online.

Interested people may take a look at
http://pub16.ezboard.com/famdpowergermanyfrm3.showMessage?topicID=123.topic to read a little bit more about Genome Spy.

Note: This is a german language forum.

Bye
Herb (AMD_Power_Germany Team)

Well, this program will run with a Network Connected Drive, so you won't be able to monitor a computer that is at work behind a firewall.... BUT... If MaTriX finish his homework and finish what he have started we should have an app that will do the same thing, but with TCP/IP instead of NamedPipe connections, so, you will be able to configure your firewall to allow a specific port to go through... ;) Now if MaTriX doen't finish that apps, i'm gonna do 1... I'm looking for such an apps since i started 3 days ago... :D Now it's time to get at work.. ehh... MaTriX !!!.. ;)

If not, i'll have to say to myself... "Do yourself what you need!"

This was posted at [H] by Bigdady92:

It's not a real problem, that "some more" people have noticed the existence
of a new coming tool. Because testing is quite finished and the bugs are
rare - in the meantime

This Spy Project looks good and so I'm writing finally a little Genome Spy
Homepage to better serve my tool-clients. It will be finished til end of
this month. Perhaps. I hope so. *bg*.
Because now the weather is fine and I think of driving in the mountains
(Alpen) for some days.
It's summer in germany and therefore perfect convertible cruising time...
(Chevy rulez :-) )

Ok, back. As "Eldiablo" wrote correctly in his posting, it will last a few
days to get Genome Spy. Testing versions are available only for our little
team. In early stages of development, I like to keep an overview about my
testing community. It's useless, to hear the same bug from 10 people. Better
2-3 engaged testers with professional view and detailled bug reports.
On the other side, currently program's Download Webspace is not ready to
serve heavy load. This will be changed along with the finished website.

Finally let me say another thing:
There was and is N_O intention to get in competition with A_N_Y other
existing or future tool.
Primarily, I wrote this for me and my team members. It had to meet our needs
and later I recognized, that it could be valuable for other genoming people
too.

When out in the wild, everybody is invited to test it, compare it with
whatever he/she wants and make his/her decision if it is useful or not.

Suggestions are welcome and good ideas will be implemented. Reported Bugs
are welcome too and will be fixed asap.
And the most important thing is to get an overview about dozends or many
thousands of clients in one tool at one look, in order to concentrate to
the main aspect: GENOMING FOR A BETTER FUTURE.

yes - there is a limit of 32767 clients monitored by a Genome Spy
instance at one machine. You know this number? ;-))
To monitor the next 32767 clients, you only have to setup a second Genome
Spy installation on another machine...

Have a good time and greetings to all other members and friends of
[H]ardOCP!

Bye
Herb

At last a tool that can handle Jodie and pelligrini's farm:D
