View Full Version : You asked for it!
Well, I am flattered by all the responses from everyone that read my "Just No Idea!" thread. And since you asked for a little bit about me, I'll tell you that I am currently studying 3rd year primary teaching at a regional uni in australia.
Secretly I am a computer geek, which makes all my friends laugh, because they never knew that I could be such a nerd! (Don't worry, it's all good natured!)
Like all good uni students, I am always perpectually broke, but however I always seem to find the cash to pay my internet bills. It's just a pity that I am always hungry instead! ;)
Anyway thats a bit about me. I noticed that most of you guys have your own little picture in the information about yourselves and I was wondering how you did that?!?!

There used to be an option to upload your own avatar, but it seems to be missing... probably due to the update of the message board software. Pelligrini is our admin, he may be able to help you out. ;)

There isn't a custom avatar box below the pre-defined avatar selection box? The link should be Edit Avatar on the left side of the User CP page.

My avatar is showing, but with no way to edit it... I'm allowed to choose one of the predefined ones thou, or disable avatar use, but that's it... :(

Weird Tim....if I scroll down the page under the displayed standard avatars, I have the option to upload an avatar or link to an image stored on my own web space.
Anybody else having trouble?

I found out what it was. Only mods and admins had permission to upload avatars. Everyone should be able to upload what they want now.

Well, almost alright. The only problem is Lia. She's perpetually broke. I suggest we provide her with A$1M annually from our secret endowment. Then she can stop fussing around with becoming a teacher and stave off her hunger with caviar. To get in on this Lia, you just have to send Pell A$20K so he can release the funds from our gold mine in Nigeria.

Well here's the problem. In order to give up my teaching ambition to live off caviar, I would have to provide $20. But I need to teach in order to get that $20, right? It's a vicious, vicious circle, and needless to say, I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it!
