Well, doom 3 is due to be released tomarrow, but it already has made it out on the web, p2p, and usenet. So if you notice the web slowing to a crawl... ;)

Reminds me of when Doom first came out and local networks ground to a halt whenever anyone used the gatling gun in a deathmatch!

Yea, I'm probably going to have to upgrade my machine too.
I used up quite a bit of my usenet quota last night.

Yep, going to have to upgrade the video card....
My ATI Radeon 8500DV will run it, at lowest quality though. I sure dont want to spend 3-4 hundred on a video card.
Gotta do what you gotta do. ;)

It will come to the store around here next week.
I think my Ati Radeon 9600 can handle it.

Interestingly enough, Hollenshead stopped there, leaving gamers everywhere to ponder the recommended specs of Doom 3. The author of the article, Dwight Silverman, went on to list his own recommendations, including a 3 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and a GeForce 5900XT or Radeon 9600
:D No problem! :D

For those who would like a duct taped flashlight on their gun. Instead of ducttape try varilight. (http://osfocus.net/VariLight/default.asp) I like it, nice being able to see what your shooting at. I do like it better then the mod ducttape. Helps looking for objects too.

Playing it surround sound makes a big difference too.
