Dyyryath stats????

Anyone know when Dyyryath's stats page will work again? I couldn't get to it for days and now I get an error?

It seems all the really cool looking graphics pages are so popular that we break them...arrg.

Good thing we still have Tellian or I'd go nuts...need more stats..need more machines...need more......

I agree. I use mostly the statsman ( I hate the pop ups) but I like the combined stats too.

A public question to him (posting on his board) should get a quicker response. I doubt this, but he might be polling statsman for the numbers.

Statsman has been back up... It looks like a config error on his server... Server Side Includes are whining...

I know;) But if he is polling statsman, that would be a good reason for being down. Dry's stats are updated behind even statsman. That's what makes me think he's polling rkhands.

Hey guys. Sorry about the stats interruption last week. It wasn't related to rkhands' issues as I get my numbers right from Stanford. I do grab them a little later than rkhands does to ensure that any lag in Stanford's updates is covered.

The outage on my site was actually from me doing massive hardware upgrades to my entire LAN. I've been working on a project of my own (unrelated to Distributed Computing) which required a great deal of horsepower above and beyond what I already had at home. In the process of adding new nodes to my cluster and adding several standalone 1400 TBirds, I went ahead and upgraded my PDC, webservers, and mail servers at the same time.

In the future, if you guys ever have an issue, bitch, or comment on the stats on my site, feel free to email me. I'll get back to you, I promise. ;)

It's just some research I'm doing for my own benefit (well, mine and a couple of other individuals) that's computationally expensive. I'd rather not going into any more detail. ;)

My current DC related project is the TPS website. I originally threw together the graphics and colors for the site when some of our members decided to put one up. I've felt like it needed a facelift for some time now, though. A couple of days ago, the guy hosting and maintaining it put out a call for help as he just hasn't had the time to devote to it that he'd like.

I offered to take it over, host it (I'm already hosting the DNS anyway), and revamp it in the process. I'm going to be bringing a newer, much more powerful stats engine online soon, which I will tie into the TPS site as well as a great deal of dynamic content and customizable user pages. I've just started reworking it, but you can see how the home page will look here (http://www.zerothelement.com/sites/tps/index.html). It's still very much a work in progress, though, so don't expect too much yet. ;)

I've made a change which *should* make the requested change. It'll be effective after the next update. If it isn't, I'll look into it and get it straight. No problem.
