If you do get through to the second reboot, and there is no indication which icon you have to press to do that, then Suse will download a list of software which it thinks you will need.

For a home user this list is crucial, because, as I found out later installing other programs is a complete and utter arse. http://www.techhelpers.net/e4u/comp/comp11.gif

Next, I wanted to test this Beagle thingee since it had not been loaded by default and used Yast to install it. Nothing happened. Yast told me Beagle was installed, but there were no icons, nothing in the tool bar and nothing downloaded where I could access it. I then spent an ironic three quarters of an hour searching for the search software, before I gave up.

Personally am a click and go guy, i have so many things on my plate that i don't have to much time to play with OS's which is a shame, thats why i like linspire, you just put the disk in the drive and answer a couple questions and its installed and ready to go..... and you just can't beat CNR for installing software... :D :D :D

I installed 9.2 on a work PC and it's a PITA, to be honest. I totally agree with the guy about playing a simple video file and installing apps. yet when I think about how easy it is to install Firefox on a Mac Mini it makes me wonder whether the Linux guys deliberately make it difficult!

Dude change distro. Fedora is a nice workhorse. And dumb simple. Great for X!

it's only needed for one thing which is checking browser compatibility with our CSS website. For that it now works but one of these days I'll get it running something useful (i.e. not just for browser checking) like Solaris 10 x86
