temp graphs from MBM4 CSV files

I would like to automate something like this

I did that manually in excel, but i can't save the chart and have it update automatically. I got the data from MBM4's CSV interval log. It is set to log every 16 minutes and a max of 186 entries.







Could a seperate app get the data from the csv file and make the graph? It doesn't have to upload the graph, just save it on the local HDD

Well, the only way i see to do that is to program an whole app to do that. I've never seen or know about such an app.

Get my email ( vermine@videotron.ca ) and write me down in a week (cause i'll probably forget) to remind me about that, and if i get some spare time, i could program something for ya.

You just have to send me a CSV so i can see what it look like to program something to parse it. Should it upload itself the result jpeg by ftp or it's stored on your hdd !?

With the help of MaTriX i've found a new way to make graph, but you need to have Excel installed on the computer that will create those graph. If it's your case, it will be sooo easy to create an apps to do your graph automaticly.. You can't imagine...

Ok, i have excel installed. Could this be doen over a network too?

Amdjr has excel and a monitor :)
crunchin has no monitor nor excel
ditto for genome500

could amdjr grab the files from the 2 other puters and make graphs and save em locally?

I still have to send ya a CSV file. Does this board support attachments?

There is no problem to grab CSV from your other box. You will only have to make your folder having the CSV as a shared folder, and it will be able to connect and get the CSV.

I just have to program an apps that will create graphs for you, and then ... it wil save on local drive or upload to a ftp site !?

Could anyone else help me with this? Vermine seems to have disappeared... i even emailed hime all the details and a "reminder" a month later that he never told me if he was going to send me his personal script/app to try out or doa nything at all :/

I know , no insulted taken either, .... was jsut paying paranoid (well I am a bit these days, ignore me.)

But no it's not me that has this magical skillz, it's MATRIX, he's the GOD in this. Matrix has the gift and power of Scripting, I only have the gift and power to turn frogs into FrenchMen.... pretty useless power if you ask me..... LOL
