Has anybody else tried to do a fresh install of the Genome client lately?
I keep getting a "hostname lookup" error. I can't get an ID and can't run Genome on that install :(

Did not try a fresh install but just deleted the inputs and associated files from a directory along with the id.dat and it worked okay there.

Thanks for the advice, but I fixed it... damn Windows.
Everything was fine, but it appeared that none of my hostnames were getting resolved through "ping". So I checked my ipconfig and everthing looked fine. I did a "release all" and "renew all". Everything appeared to go good, but still no DNS lookup.
Decided to restart Windows and now it works. Windows... if it don't work, restart or reload, LOL.:(

LOL...I am sure I read that in a MS manual somewhere.....ah yes, "if your computer stops responding for a long time, turn the power off and then on again" - good old MS ;)

I think it says that during the Win98 install during the driver setup portion too. ;)

Some times I think they should reword that to be...
"Hint - Unless you absolutely need to use your windows computer please leave it turned off, this will insure it's continued stability until you once again turn it on"
